ADVISORY AND GUIDELINES ON THE INFORMATION AND OUTREACH SESSION IN JONGNO-GU, SEOUL

The Philippine Embassy wishes to inform the Filipino community that it will conduct an Information Session on consular and related matters as well as provide select services on 19 January 2025 (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM) at B1 Christian Union Hall, 30 Kim Sang-ok-ru, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The following guidelines shall be observed:

  1. Philippine Embassy, MWO, OWWA and Pag-IBIG representatives will be on hand to provide information and clarifications on consular and other related matters.
  2. For those needing frontline services and/or assistance, the following will be observed:
    • For passport-related transactions, please bring the requirements which may be found at https://www.philembassy-seoul.com/consular-services/passport
    • For civil registry (Report of Birth, Report of Marriage, Report of Death, Marriage License/LCCM, Travel Document) and notarial transactions (Special Power of Attorney, Affidavit, Certification, Dual Citizenship, Certificate of Registration with the Embassy or Embassy ID), please bring the requirements which may be found at http://www.philembassy-seoul.com/. All payments for Notarial Services and Civil Registry Transactions will be collected with expedite processing fees as they are rendered beyond regular hours and on the observance of the weekend of the Philippine Embassy per Department of Foreign Affairs Foreign Service Circular (FSC) No. 2024-0391 dated 03 May 2024
    • For Pag-IBIG membership including registration for new and reactivated accounts, updating of membership records, and related queries or concerns, please bring a valid passport.

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:

THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN SEOUL PARTICIPATES IN THE OBSERVANCE OF THE 30TH GIRL CHILD WEEK, 22 -28 MARCH 2026

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul joins the celebration on the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week, or “Girl Child Week” from 22-28 March 2026. In accordance with Proclamation No. 759, March 6, 1996, the fourth week of March is celebrated as “Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week”.  The observance also complements the annual National Women’s Month Celebration every March.
