MAHALAGANG PAALALA TUNGKOL SA DRIVER’S LICENSE


Pinapaalalahanan ng Philippine Embassy ang lahat ng Filipino sa Korea na gustong kumuha ng Korean Driver’s License na mag-ingat sa pagkuha ng lisensiya sa Pilipinas at siguraduhing tama at hindi peke ang mga dokumento.

Ipinaabot ng Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade ng Korea sa Philippine Embassy ang impormasyon galing Korean National Police Agency na may mga foreign nationals nang inaresto at inimbestigahan ng Prosecutor’s Office dahil sa mga pekeng dokumento. Maaaring makulong o ma-deport ang mga mapapatunayang gumamit ng pekeng dokumento. Pinapaalalahanan ang lahat ng mga sumusunod na tamang proseso: Sa Pilipinas (maaaring gawin ng authorized na representative): 1. Mag-apply ng certification sa LTO. Sa DFA ang release ng authenticated certificate. 2. Ipadala ang authenticated certificate sa aplikante sa Korea. Sa Korea: 1. Dalhin ang authenticated certificate sa Embassy para lagyan ng “red ribbon” (isa itong requirement ng Korean Driver’s License Agency). Para sa karagdagang kaalaman at requirements, bumisita sa website ng embassy sa www.philembassy-seoul.com (consular services). 2. Dalhin ang authenticated certificate sa Korean Driver’s License Agency, kasama ang iba pang requirements gaya ng driver’s license, passport, alien registration card at litrato. Para sa karagdagang kaalaman tungkol sa requirements ng Korea, bisitahin ang website sa www.dla.go.kr/english/index.jsp. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE DRIVER’S LICENSE The Philippine Embassy wishes to remind all Filipinos in Korea who wish to apply for a Korean Driver’s License to ensure that all documents obtained in the Philippines and submitted to Korean authorities are correct and authentic. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Korea has conveyed to the Philippine Embassy information from the Korean National Police Agency about foreign nationals who have been apprehended and investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office because of falsified documents. Those proven to have used falsified documents face potential imprisonment or deportation. Everyone is reminded of the following correct procedure: In the Philippines (may be accomplished by an authorized representative): 1. Apply for an LTO certification. The authenticated certificate will be released in the DFA. 2. Send the authenticated certificate to the applicant in Korea. In South Korea: 1. Bring the authenticated certificate to the Embassy for the “red ribbon” (This is a requirement of the Korean Driver’s License Agency). Bring the authenticated certificate to the Korean Driver’s License Agency, including other requirements such as the driver’s license, passport, alien registration card and photos. LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:
