PH EMBASSY WELCOMES OSHDP DELEGATION ON BENCHMARKING STUDY MISSION IN KOREA


Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez with Seoul PE officers Third Secretary and Vice Consul Reisha L. Olavario, Commercial Attaché Charmaine Mignon S. Yalong and representatives from attached services including SSS-Seoul Foreign Representative Jonnah Cruzada, and Pag-IBIG Fund Member Services Officer-South Korea James Lumantas welcomed the OSHDP delegation at the Sentro Rizal Conference Room of the Philippine Embassy.

04 February 2026, Seoul — The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, led by Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez, received a delegation from the Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines Inc. (OSHDP) at the Sentro Rizal Conference Room. Embassy officials, together with representatives of the Social Security System and Pag-IBIG Fund Member Services, joined the productive discussions on improving services for Filipinos in Korea, including access to Pag-IBIG and SSS programs, and support for OFWs and residents investing in housing back home.

The OSHDP delegation, composed of executives from private real estate developers supplying mass housing for low-to-middle-income families in the Philippines, also shared insights on housing trends and innovations. They expressed interest in partnering with Korean construction and building materials companies to enhance infrastructure and implement smart, sustainable housing solutions in the Philippines.

On 06 February 2026, Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza and Commercial Attaché Charmaine Mignon S. Yalong joined the OSHDP delegation at Korea Build Week at KINTEX, Ilsan, where they networked with Korean companies to explore potential partnerships. The Philippine Embassy looks forward to continuing coordinated efforts with OSHDP, Pag-IBIG, and SSS to better serve Filipinos abroad while advancing the Philippines’ housing sector. END

PH EMBASSY HIGHLIGHTS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP, VALUE OF DIPLOMACY AT KNDA ANNUAL PANEL

25 March 2026, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul participated in the Annual Diplomatic Panel of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) on 25 March 2026 at the DiploTown Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.  The program gathered forty (40) diplomatic candidates of the KNDA and five (5) working-level diplomats from the Embassies of the Philippines, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, and Brazil.  The KNDA panel convenes representatives of diplomatic missions in Seoul for an exchange on the practice of diplomacy and present the significance of their respective countries’ relations with the Republic of Korea to the newest cohort of Korean diplomats.

30 March 2026, Seoul – The Philippine Embassy in Seoul hosted a roundtable on cyber diplomacy, gender-inclusive artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity on 30 March 2026, bringing together female Heads of Mission in the Republic of Korea, diplomats, and invited stakeholders from government, academe, business, and civil society. The roundtable served as a platform for discussing cybersecurity, digital governance, artificial intelligence, and the continuing need to narrow the gender gap in the digital sphere.
