Mensahe ng Ambassador - Christmas 2016
Kaisa ng inyong mga kaibigan sa Embahada ng Pilipinas, nais kong ipabaot ang aking mainit na pagbati para sa isang maligaya, mapayapa, at makabuluhang Pasko at Bagong Taon sa lahat ng Filipino at kaibigan ng Pilipinas sa South Korea. Ang taong 2016 ay nagdala ng madaming pagbabago sa ating bansa. Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Presidente Rodrigo R. Duterte, ang Pamahalaan ng Pilipinas ay patuloy na itinataguyod ang pag-unlad ng ekonomiya, seguridad, at kapayapaan habang nilalabanan ang katiwalian at ang paglaganap ng ipinagbabawal na gamot. Nais kong ipaabot ang aking lubos na pasalamat sa mga Filipino sa South Korea para sa inyong suporta at pakikipagtulungan sa Embahada. Kayo ang inspirasyon sa patuloy naming pagsusumikap na maghatid ng mahahalagang serbisyo at paglilingkod upang makamit ang mga mithiin ng bansa. Ngayong Kapaskuhan, hinihikayat ko ang aking mga kababayan na gunitain at ipagpasalamat ang mga biyaya na ating natanggap nitong nakalipas na taon. ROK GOVERNMENT SETS NEW MINIMUM WAGE FOR 2017
The Embassy of the Philippines in Seoul is pleased to inform the Filipino public that starting 01 January 2017, the minimum wage for workers in South Korea will be KRW 6,470, or US$ 5.83, per hour. This reflects a 7.3 percent increase from the current minimum wage of KRW 6,030 per hour. This translates to a daily minimum wage of KRW 51,760 (calculated on a standard of 8 working hours a day); weekly wage of KRW 258,800 (for a 40-hour work week); and monthly wage of KRW 1,352,230 (for those who work 209 hours full time in a month).

AMBASSADOR'S MESSAGE ABOUT CLIENT FEEDBACK
It has come to my attention that there have been complaints regarding the delivery of the Embassy's frontline services. I am alarmed to learn of these incidents. From the very start of my term as Ambassador, I have consistently emphasized to our Embassy personnel that they should give courteous, polite, and customer-oriented service to the public, regardless of status. However, as some aspects of our frontline services remain wanting, I would like to institute effective and specific measures to improve the quality of our consular services. Since 2014, the Embassy has put in place a Client Feedback Mechanism. This is an effective way for us to communicate directly with you, our public, to get your sense of what you want and the extent we are meeting your needs. I encourage everyone to accomplish and submit the client feedback forms in full - detailing your experience, satisfactory or not, and identifying the name of the Embassy personnel who served you.
