Ambassador Luis T. Cruz Welcomes Lea Salonga in Seoul


Ambassador Luis T. Cruz welcomed multi-awarded Filipino Broadway theater performer, actress and singer Ms. Lea Salonga in Seoul, last 15 June 2008.

Amb. Cruz had a meeting with Ms. Salonga a day before her musical concert to be held at the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center. She will be performing before an SRO crowd her signature Disney movies theme songs and excerpts from her Broadway musicals Miss Saigon and Les Miserables, among others. The Musical Concert is Ms. Salonga’s first in Seoul.

During the meeting, Amb. Cruz acknowledged Ms. Salonga’s world-class talent and thanked her for continuously promoting Filipino artistry worldwide. Amb. Cruz also requested Ms. Salonga to promote the Philippines as a prime tourist destination in Asia to the Korean audiences at her musical concert.

STUDENTS FROM DULWICH COLLEGE SEOUL BRITISH SCHOOL VISIT THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY

9 March 2026, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy had the pleasure of welcoming a class of Year 4 students and teachers from Dulwich College Seoul, a British international school with approximately 747 students representing around 45 nationalities. The visit formed part of the school’s learning program aimed at helping young students better understand global cultures, governance, and international relations. The visiting group consisted of 23 students aged eight years old and three teachers. The students are currently studying governance, guided by the central inquiry question: “Who has the power to change the world?” The embassy visit provided them with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about diplomacy and the role of international cooperation in shaping global affairs.
