Mr. Lee recently met Amb. Luis T. Cruz at the Philippine Embassy in Seoul to discuss the mutually beneficial relations between the Philippines and South Korea and to listen to the Ambassadorââ¬â¢s views (on various topics. During the interview,) Amb. Cruz also expressed his desire for Lee Myung-bak, the South Korean President, to visit his country. ââ¬ÅSouth Korea and the Philippines have established mutual trust, shared a common vision and cooperated for the development of East Asia in the 21st century,ââ¬Â he explained. He specifically pointed out that the exchange of human resources and cultural cooperation will enhance the level of the two countriesââ¬â¢ diplomatic relationship.

The Philippine Embassy is located at the Jin Song Bldg., 34-44, Itaewon1-dong, Yongsan-Ku, Seoul. I could hear noise, which I could not distinguish as Korean or Tagalog (the Philippine language), when I arrived at consulate at the first floor of the chancery. I noticed couples—Korean husbands and their Filipino wives. The office of Ambassador Luis was on the third floor. He initially talked about the P500 bill (the Philippine currency).
