20 March 2022, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, Republic of Korea, held the second installment of its Know Your Rights and Responsibilities Seminar on Property Laws in the Philippines (KYRR II) on 20 March 2022. The KYRR Seminar Series was first held on 30 January 2022 and Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega noted that one of the most pressing concerns of Filipino community members in South Korea is dealing with legal issues on property rights due to its technical nature and challenges in inspecting documents from abroad.

SEOUL, 15 March 2022 - In celebration of International Women's Month, Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Theresa Dizon-De Vega joined a panel discussion convened by Sookmyung Women's University President Yunkeum Chang with seven Ambassadors of Diplomatic Missions in the Republic of Korea on 8 March 2022. The topics of discussion included ways to empower women and making this count through education, COVID-19's impact on access to education for women and girls, and whether women are using available opportunities to make their power count.

The show is hosted by Filipino-Korean Ms. Jasmine Lee, the first migrant member of the Korean National Assembly and a multiculturalism advocate.

PHILIPPINE EMBASSY DONATES TRADITIONAL ATTIRE TO THE MULTICULTURE MUSEUM

SEOUL, 3 March 2022 - Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega met today with Mr. Kim Yun Tae, Chairman of the Board of the Multiculture Museum to discuss potential projects for cultural exchange. The highlight of the meeting was the donation by the Embassy of a set of traditional Filipino attire - a Filipiniana gown and a pina barong - to be permanently displayed in the museum's world costume exhibition. The exhibition showcases traditional attire donated by Embassies from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Central and South America. The Multiculture Museum likewise gave the Ambassador a plaque of appreciation and a modern Hanbok blazer.

SEOUL, 19 January 2022 - Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega met with Ambassador Woo Kyoung-ha, Secretary General of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia Pacific Cities (TPO), to discuss strengthened tourism engagement between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea through the TPO Secretariat. In his capacity as the new Secretary General of the TPO, Ambassador Woo is currently undertaking initiatives to promote the organization and to reach out to its members. He said that the Philippines is very important because the City of Manila is one of its founding members and has a seat in the executive board composed of fourteen (14) members.

SEOUL PE'S KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES SEMINAR PART 1

SEOUL, 4 February 2022 - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul hosted the first of its Know Your Rights and Responsibilities (KYRR) Seminar Series on 30 January 2022. A recurring project in 2022, the KYYR Series is being launched this year as a platform for overseas Filipinos in Korea to learn more about their rights and responsibilities under both Philippine and Korean laws and regulations. Future sessions will cover other topics such as property matters in the Philippines, land titling, relevant Korean laws, and important procedures and processes for Filipinos currently living in Korea.
